Organic Ingredients

We Use Only 100% Recycled & Organic Ingredients

We source directly to the seed and trace all of our fabrics from the farm to our factory. We only use 100% GMO-free, Pesticide & Herbicide-free, Recycled, Closed-loop, & Fair-traded Ingredients.

Growing cotton in USA produces higher quality of cotton due to the soil quality and ecosystems we have in the states. This also translates into closer relationships with the family farms and fair treatment and fair wages for them. These farms can be found in all parts of America including Texas, California and the Carolinas.

Recycling plastic decreases our dependence on oil as a raw material and curbs the amount of trash being dumped, prolonging landfill life. Reducing toxic emissions from incinerators lessens the advance of global warming.

Eucalyptus (lyocell) is made with wood pulp from responsibly-sourced tree farms that grow on low- grade land unusable for food production. Recycling

Recycled Plastic fabric is a reconstituted 100% Post-consumer yarn that requires only “waste” cotton and plastic for its creation. This feedstock is sourced from the garbage that individuals routinely discard, either in a waste receptacle or a dump.

Hemp is an extremely fast growing and renewable crop, producing more fiber yield per acre than any other source. It is naturally pest resistant, can grow almost anywhere, and requires a fraction of the amount of water it takes to grow cotton.

Linen comes from the flax plant, which is one of the oldest crops used by mankind to make clothing, and the process for turning this plant into fabric hasn’t changed much throughout history. Flax also uses a fraction of the water that cotton uses to grow, and is naturally pest resistant.

From Seed to Skin, we are committed to developing awareness of all lifecycle stages of our fabrics and garments, starting with the harvest cycle from plant to cultivation of the root ingredients that our fabrics derive form all the way through the home-sewn production of our finished garments and distribution to our end customers.

With over five years of research, we have yet to find a certification that encompasses all of our values. So we started our own. Focusing on human empowerment, organic and recycled ingredients, and local, fair, and responsible manufacturing, our “Seed to Skin” certification is the first of its kind and represents a new standard for the apparel industry.
